The Argentinian striker netted twice following two brilliant assists from Alves, as Juventus gain a massive advantage in the tie.
The match started with both teams' initial stances looking as one would have anticipated before the match. Juventus patiently passed the ball while Monaco, with their defence sitting unusually deep, hoped to break when dispossessing the Italian side.
Jardim was furious as his team were pinned into their own area by Juventus, but eventually his players responded to the instructions and came forward. Mbappe looked lively as he peeled away from the defence in two instances, but both times was denied by Buffon.
With chances at either end, and despite the distinctively contrasted styles of play, the match was wide open. Juventus patiently building up play and Monaco with a more direct approach that took the Juventus back three by storm, added up to an entertaining start to the match.
Finally, it was the away team who took the lead, and what a goal it was. Alves surged forward after a good team move, which ended in the right-back playing a brilliant backheel pass for Higuain in the area. The striker made no mistake with a composed finish into the bottom left corner, beyond the reach of Subasic.
Monaco managed to press Juventus, but the experienced Italian defence did not wither. Falcao had a glorious chance to equalise after the break, but his low shot was saved by Buffon. As Monaco pushed in search of the goal to draw the game level, the visitors looked more dangerous on the counter.
Alves, Dybala and Higuain were involved again as Bakayoko was dispossessed inside his own half, and the Brazilian served a peach of a cross for Higuain to find the back of the net from six yards.
The hosts were shell-shocked after this goal and attempted to respond, while Juventus defended deeper and deeper as they willingly gave the ball to Monaco. The away team looked comfortable defending as they reduced Monaco to desperate pot-shots, and continued to break with danger when they won the ball back.
It was yet another expert performance from Allegri's team as they quelled the French team's efforts to get a goal back, with relative ease. Germain headed Moutinho's cross from a set piece towards goal, only for Buffon to tip the ball over, showing great reflexes.
Juventus and Real Madrid are serious favourites for the final in Cardiff, after the Italians managed another clean sheet to make it 600 minutes without conceding a goal in the Champions League. Having faced one of the best attacks in Europe tonight and 180 minutes of the 'MSN', it has a lot to say about this defence.
Monaco will hope they can breach the tight defence in Turin, who have only conceded three goals once this season. It does not look promising for the young Monaco team, but if one side can bang in the goals it is them.
